Automatically Keeps Track Of Bed Availability

This application provides an easy and efficient means by which healthcare facilities can keep track of available beds for incoming patients.

The application requires that a transport person initiate an action when they remove a patient from the room for discharge. The action is simply entering ID digits on the room's telephone before they leave the room. This action automatically starts a series of events, which sends room number/bed number to printers in the various departments. The departments such as Emergency,Maintenance, Housekeeping, Admitting etc will each act accordingly based on their role in the facility. As an example housekeeping will schedule the cleaning and will advise the system via telephone the start and finish times for cleaning the vacant room/bed.

Simultaneous notification of room availability to the critical departments can save endless time of room searching and work scheduling.

Options include out dialing to housekeeping and maintenance department pagers giving room/bed number vacancy.
